Makeup & Hair up style Preparation

Make Up

  • Please come to your appointment without makeup on

  • Please wash your hair at least the day before your appointment - this is so it isn't too soft when trying to put it up

  • Don't straighten your hair after you wash it if you want curls otherwise they wont last as long. You can blow dry it straight just don't use straighteners

Make Up

  • Avoid touching your face or rubbing your eyes as this will cause make up to smudge

  • Ensure make up is completely removed before going to bed using suitable products.      This        will ensure that your skin is cleaned properly and will also prevent any irritation which may be caused if the make-up is left on. It is particularly important that you remove all eye make-up as this can cause aggravation to the eye area if it left on for a prolonged period.

  • Use eye make up remover for eyes and cleanser for the rest of the face, follow this with toner and finish with moisturiser and eye cream.

  • Be aware of allergic reactions - in the event of this remove with damp cotton wool, and apply a soothing lotion such as calamine lotion.

  • Ensure all hair grips are removed before brushing

  • Gently break hair elastics to remove as this will avoid them becoming tangled in your hair. The easiest way to do this is to slide a hair grip in the side of it and pull to snap it.

When brushing take a small section near the bottom of your hair, once this is brushed out take a section higher up and brush it. Continue with this method until you are able to brush your hair fully.
